Blue Bottles

Painting by Yuliia Rybak

Thomas Sparrow’s play, Blue Bottles, is an absurd tragicomedy that shows us two seemingly dissimilar characters who are in fact mirror images of one another. Combining an immersive soundscape with seemingly banal conversation, the play explores the creative strategies we adopt to combat our profound fear of being alone.

Without Marlie it wouldn’t be half the play it is today
